NTI ANNOUNCES BIZPRO AWARDS 2009,
WITH A SPECIAL PLACE FOR WOMEN
BUSINESS LEADERS
 National
Training Institute announced the
commencement of enrolments for 2009
NTI BizPro Awards which have now
come to be coveted as hallmarks of
Omani excellence for business and
executive competence. The awards are
instituted by NTI to recognize and
celebrate the accomplishments of
Omanis who have contributed
significantly to the economy of
Oman. Feedback, from the Omani
executive world specifically, has
indicated that there is much
appreciation of NTI’s intent, and
the BizPro Awards event is one that
people want to get associated with.
NTI has been totally committed to
enhancing and promoting Omanisation
and is significantly contributing to
the learning and development of the
progressive Omani youth by offering
high end Management Development
Programs through its tie-ups with
renowned Management schools.
In 2009, one Business Leader award
will be conferred on an Omani
businesswoman. There is a separate
award in the men’s category. In the
Young Achiever segment, 3 Omanis
will be awarded. BizPro scholarships
are sponsored by Renaissance
Services SAOG, which has always
subscribed to ethical corporate
governance, excellence in business,
and encouraged empowerment and the
peaking of individual competence.

This year, KPMG, the Global
Audit, Tax and Advisory
Firm, will be the
independent Evaluators of
Candidates of the 2009
BizPro Awards. KPMG’s
independent evaluation of
the process will assure
candidates of even greater
transparency in the
selection process.

professionals throughout the
world, offices in 800 cities
and 7,000 partners in over
150 countries. KPMG Oman was
established in 1974 and has
since offered professional
services to a large and
diversified portfolio of
clients.

evaluated to select 5 of the
best Omani Business Leaders

Over the years the NTI BizPro awards
have been able to inspire industry
people treading the way towards
establishing themselves as business
professionals. NTI’s BizPro Awards
have paved the way to recognize
talented Omanis who have the innate
ability to steer the business world.
The Awards also aim to develop and
encourage leadership and life skills
in young Omanis, develop a sense of
pride in being an Omani, and provide
role models & mentors for our youth
by highlighting their achievements
and the pursuit of excellence.
NTI BizPro Awards endeavor to become
a showcase event, with increased
levels of participation from highly
competent candidates from the
corporate world in Oman. The
selection criteria are methodical,
and the 2009 Awards promise a leap
forward in qualifying standards. The
final winners will be independently
selected by KPMG based on
pre-determined criteria. The
Business Leader Award carries a
scholarship of RO 5,000, awarded to
the winner’s organization to develop
higher professional skills amongst
his/her team while each of the Young
Achievers will receive a scholarship
of RO 2,500 to enable them to pursue
a career upliftment programme. All
the above BizPro scholarships are
sponsored by Renaissance Services
SAOG.
